The Jardin du Luxembourg: a haven of relaxation for everyone

Take advantage of the last sunbeams of the summer by taking it easy in a pleasant setting that will allow you to fully appreciate the beauty and elegance that is synonymous with the name of Paris. The Hotel BW Quartier Latin is the perfect starting point from which to enjoy the haven of tranquillity that is the famous Jardin du Luxembourg, not far from our location. A host of delights await you in this picturesque park, a green lung of the capital.

Jardin du Luxembourg, a great place to take it easy in Paris

With its 25 hectares of verdant space, the Jardin du Luxembourg is a place that is particularly appreciated by both Parisians and domestic and foreign visitors to the capital. Created at the behest of the Italian born widow of King Henri IV, Marie de Medici, in the early 17th century, the park’s design was inspired by the Boboli Gardens of the queen’s native Florence. There are two distinct gardens, one in a traditional French style and the other having an English feel, separated by a large pond and a tree-lined promenade. Relaxing on the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg lawn to enjoy the late summer sunshine or a delicious picnic lunch is just one of the joys of being a guest at the Hotel Best Western Quartier Latin, which is just a few minutes away.

Guests bringing their children will be delighted to know that there’s plenty to keep the kiddies busy, including playground rides, slides and puppet shows, while the grown-ups can play bridge, tennis, chess or pilot a remote controlled boat on the calm surface of the large pond. Meanwhile, lovers will enjoy a romantic stroll through the rose garden, greenhouses brimming with orchids, and the Orangery.

Discover the wonders of the capital

With its newly renovated rooms, the Hotel BW Quartier Latin offers maximum comfort to tourists and business visitors alike. In addition to offering air conditioning and Wifi accessibility throughout the hotel, we are situated close to many prestigious monuments, so after a good night’s rest you’ll be well-placed to enjoy the capital’s architectural, cultural and historical treasures. If you love fashion, then we recommend that you visit the Musée Galliera, a museum devoted to the subject, located in a beautiful Renaissance-inspired palace. You’ll also want to check out the City of Fashion and Design, with its daringly original architecture and fine restaurants, bars and shops.

If fascinating places such as the Eiffel Tower, the Trocédero, the Invalides or the Champ de Mars are a must during your stay in Paris, we are well situated for those, too, as well as some intriguing locations off the beaten tourist track. A stop at the Rodin Museum and the Palais de Tokyo are welcome before a walk along the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin or a game of petanque by the Canal de l’Ourq. Before retiring to your inviting room in our hotel, why not watch a movie on the 1,000 m² hemispherical screen of the Geode, followed by a lovely dinner aboard a barge moored by the banks of the Seine?
